A Visit with Santa

There is just something about having kids that means that a perfectly decorated tree has a different meaning then most people think. ...

Like never expecting ornaments to be in the same place from day to day because someone has to look at it over and over and therefore it gets moved all about...
so every ornament has time to shine depending on where it gets moved and who does the moving.
Most of our ornaments are handcrafted and uniquely one of a kind....
competing for room on the front of the tree and leaving the store bought ornaments lagging behind on the back.
Then you look down to the tree skirt and if you look real close you don't just see presents and brightly colored material but....
army men and linking logs, legos and Star Wars figures...
forts that are intact and forts long forgotten and the remanents of battles that have been won and lost because the best place to play at Christmas...
is under the TREE!!!
We made an unplanned trip to the best toy store for my kids....
every outdoorsmens favorite place to be and long for things they see and want.
Coming from someone that is not a hunter....this store inspires me to want to be one.
We always arrive, excitedly wondering what they have changed and what things are still the same and Corey and I always say to each other..."We will only stay and hour."
Then as we are walking out the doors, our hour has turned to two and we think were we really in there that long....
and no one asked to leave or for food and drinks...and we know this is the store for us.
and probably the reason we always keep coming back, always dreaming of things we want.
