Civil War

Guns, antiques, talking about war...John loved this event, the other kids were interested for awhile but John asked questions, listened intently and participated in as many things as they would let him.

We learned how to load a cannon...this is our friend Calvin getting to be a part of it.

A blacksmith demonstration, John got to hold and pound on some metal.



This lady and her husband had some amazing things from the civil war days.

They explained how it was all used and had lots of demonstrations.

Julia and Jillian loved the play area.

They dressed up, played kitchen, and investigated all the old stuff.

Jacob did enjoy the old toys and he went on a scavenger hunt through out the museum.

A fun time was had by all and we got to learn a lot.
