Each year it seems like my kids are getting in the water sooner then the year before. When we first moved to NW Arkansas they only let their feet dangle, stayed in the water for a few seconds or got in and out about 20 times to snuggle in a towel.
They certainly didn't get in the 1st week of May, it was more into June and still the water was too cool for their thin blooded little Florida bodies. They are adapting as years go by into Arkansans...and I gotta say it makes me proud.
We went wading at the creek on our good friends' land and had the best time just being together, splashing through the water and looking for crawdads.
I love watching this group of friends together. The memories they are making and the friendships they are building... it is fun to see how they intertwine with each other, the conversations they have and the fun moments that they laugh about together.
